Cuando pienso en la labor del diseñador de vestuario, pienso que ésta es la capacidad de contar historias a través de la imagen; a través de un cuerpo, de un personaje y de la indumentaria. Siempre me ha gustado crear historias, escribirlas, dibujarlas, articularlas y transportar al público a otro lugar. Por eso, tener la oportunidad de comunicarlas visualmente es un reto a la imaginación, a la creatividad, a mis conocimientos como diseñadora y mi sensibilidad para interpretar lo que ocurre en el amplio mundo que llamamos vestuario. Aquí una muestra de este camino que he empezado y que espero tenga una distancia larga por recorrer.
When I think in the job of a costume designer, I think that this one, is the capacity of storytelling through images; through a body, a character and a particular clothing. I’ve always like to create stories, write them, paint them, put them together and transport the audience to another place. That´s why having the opportunity of communicate them visually is a challenge to my imagination, my creativity, to my knowledge as a designer and my sensibility to interpret what happens in this huge world called costume. Here’s a sample of this path I’ve taken, hoping it has a long distance for me to walk.
